1Day Trip & Night in Merzouga Desert
At 9am after your breakfast, we will start the grand tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi (120 km track) in the objective of exploring the Saharan life. You'll cross the desert plateaus as salt lakes, black desert with volcanic stones, temporary rivers, the tracks of the Paris-Dakar, a tea at the local nomads, good oasis and villages, including the village of Khamlia (the black Gnaouas of Sudan). Lunch will be on the road as a picnic in an oasis or in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we return to your hotel to prepare for your caravan with camel trekking for 1 hour trek. You will witness the wonderful sunset and sunrise in the desert and around the world, enjoying a quiet night with the lively local music and shooting stars ... Night under nomad tents in a private bivouac in full desert.
Desert Nights with Camels in Merzouga
One Night in Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi) Our adventure with hiking camel begins either in the morning after breakfast or in the evening from your hotel. We cross the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi for 2: 30- 03 H / 15-20 km. The camels will be well equipped with everything needed for food and for the camp to spend a pleasant night in the desert under nomad tents and shooting stars ... arriving in a good oasis located about 20 km from the Algerian border, you will have a short rest before going on a big dune to watch the sunset, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view of the entire region where the horizon is infinite ... After you get a mint tea (our Berber whiskey), then the local dinner with music of drums around a magic fire. On the morning after attending the sunrise and a mint tea, you return to the starting point for breakfast, shower and at the end of this hike.
Tow Nights in Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi) The start of this stage two nights in the desert will be after watching the sunrise from the first night. After taking your breakfast, we will start crossing the arid desert component desert plates in goal to spend our second night in a local nomadic family. After 2 hours of walking, lunch will be in a small oasis in the shade of palm trees or Tamaris. Continue along this beautiful contrast of orange dunes and black desert with volcanic stones, crossing several nomadic families with whom we spend our night with dinner and breakfast. The night is in a small room, or in a nomad tent. The other day, after breakfast, we will return to our starting point by crossing the dunes of Erg Chebbi for 3 hours of walking.
Three Nights in Merzouga Desert (Erg Chebbi) The third night in the desert is the result of the previous two nights. This will quietly start after breakfast at the nomads. We head to a small oasis and abandoned village in full black desert. After about two hours of walking we will have lunch on the way as picnic, or in other nomadic tent. After continuing the adventure to spend our last night in a camp of a local inn or as wild camp or homestay, the NIOHC is yours ... The next day, after breakfast, we return to our starting point. After two hours of trek, lunch will be at a local restaurant or as a picnic lunch. Finally, we head to the hotel to finish this adventure in the afternoon and end of our services.
Each day will include about 5-6 hours of walking / 15-20 km, to ride on a camel or on foot with the caravan. And the price of each step includes: * A dromedary each person with an experienced guide camels. * Bottles of mineral water and all necessary equipment. * A 4x4 vehicle as support for groups and appropriate. * Accommodation of nomadic tents well equipped as indicated. * 1 night in an oasis camp in the heart of the Sahara. * 2nd night with the local nomadic Bedouin family. * 3rd night in a village and oasis abandoned as indicated. * Meals are always on local inns, with guides or with local nomads. * The animated music with drums in the camps and in accommodation. * Meeting with the local nomads, residents of small villages and oases in the desert. NOTE: - Our excursions on camel can be modified according to your desired programs with time schedules of your arrivals and departures. - Our trips on camels to carry a nomadic experience are for one-day or several days up to 12 days maximum as liason between the desert of Merzouga (Erg Chebbi) and Zagora (Draa Valley).
