Marrakech Excursions
ESSAOUIRA THE EX-MOGADOR (340 km / 6 H)
We start early at 08 am to Essaouira which is located on the Atlantic coast about 170 km / 2:45 h from Marrakech through the argan forest with the goats above. This small and old fortified town becoming the country's largest commercial port, it has a typical port which is a wonderful Portuguese architecture. Inside the walls dividing the old city into several districts, with beautiful views from the top of the Scala admiring the old Spanish bronze guns. She is best known for his hysterical ramparts, old fishing port, its annual music festival "Gnawa" and its unique mild climate. After lunch at the harbor with fresh fish, we will return to Marrakech in the evening and the end of our excursion.
OURIKA & THE 3 VALLEYS (175 km / 3:30 H)
At 8am we leave from Marrakech to the discovery of the 3 valleys. We will pass on the great dam of Takerkoust and villages nestled in the mountains. You will see beautiful panoramic views of the snowy peaks of the High Atlas during the winter period (1800m). We take the mint tea at the inhabitant and return to the village of Moulay Brahim with scenery out of sight. We continue our mountain road by the famous Valley of Asni, then the village of Setti Fatma in the fascinating valley of Ourika where we will have lunch in a local restaurant and outdoors by the river current. You will have the opportunity to visit his assault of 7 waterfalls climbing the mountain. Return to Marrakech in the late afternoon and at the end of our trip.
OUARZAZATE & AIT BEN HADDOU (410 km / 8 H)
At 07h we drive to Ouarzazate is 205 km / 4 hours from Marrakech via Tizi Tichka (2260m). On the course, we will see beautiful panoramic views of the High Atlas with beautiful Berber villages nestled in the mountains. We visit the old Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui in Telouèt, then continue through the impressive Valley Ounilla to reach the famous village of Ait Ben Haddou. It's an exceptional site with its old village an extraordinary accumulation of red-brown adobe buildings, it was an important stop for the ancient caravans and classified by the World Heritage of Unesco. Many films have been shot here as Marrakesh Express, Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator ... etc! After lunch, we will visit the Film Centre and the Kasbah Taourirte (old town of Ouarzazate), then back to Marrakech by the main road in the late afternoon and end of our day trip.
THE OUZOUD WATTERFALLS (320 km / 5 H)
We will leave early to 08h to visit the Ouzoud waterfalls which are 160 km / 2: 30h drive east of Marrakech. This beautiful waterfalls of over 100 meters high is one of the most spectacular natural attractions in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. This is a wonderful and natural site with its pleasant environment and quality of temperature. It is recommended to hike to discover its green valley of Wadi el Abid. Lunch will be in a traditional outdoor restaurant, then back to Marrakech in the late afternoon and end of our services.
